SMS Consent & Opt-In Policy

Tour Reels sends SMS text messages to tour guides on behalf of tour and activity businesses. No messages are ever sent without explicit opt-in consent. Below is the complete opt-in flow.

How Opt-In Works

When a tour business adds a guide to Tour Reels via the web dashboard, the following three-step consent process occurs automatically:

Guide receives opt-in request

The employer adds the guide's name and phone number in the Tour Reels dashboard. The guide immediately receives this text message:

Tour Reels sends:
Hey Sarah! Cruisin Tikis Nashville has enrolled you in Tour Reels 🎬

You'll receive photo & video tips and content requests via text. Message frequency varies based on tour schedule. Msg & data rates may apply.

Reply YES to opt in. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help.

Guide replies YES to consent

The guide must actively reply YES to opt in. No further messages of any kind are sent until the guide explicitly consents by replying YES.

Guide receives opt-in confirmation

After consenting, the guide receives a confirmation message acknowledging their opt-in:

Tour Reels sends:
You're all set, Sarah! 🎬 You'll now receive photo & video tips and content requests from Cruisin Tikis Nashville via Tour Reels. Reply STOP anytime to unsubscribe.
Key point: If the guide does not reply YES, they will never receive any further messages from Tour Reels. The opt-in is entirely voluntary and is not a condition of employment.

Types of Messages After Opt-In

Once a guide has opted in by replying YES, they may receive the following types of messages:

  • Pre-tour content briefs with photo and video tips
  • Content submission confirmations
  • Monthly leaderboard standings and contest updates

Example post-opt-in message:

Tour Reels sends:
Hey Sarah! It's Reel. Your 10:00 AM tour is coming up - today's shot brief: capture wide ocean shots, wildlife, and guest reactions. Reply with your best photos after the tour!

Opting Out

Guides can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Upon receiving STOP, all messaging ceases immediately. No further messages will be sent.

For help, guides can reply HELP to any message or contact their tour manager directly.

Privacy & Data

Tour Reels does not sell or share phone numbers with third parties. Phone numbers are used solely for the operational messaging described above. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
